Update: More on the LION RAMPANT 2 project.

It has been a while since I have last posted so I thought I would stop in at this unholy hour and let you know what is what.

First off, I have filed for real life LLC papers. So subject to approval from the State, I will soon be a genuine gaming company. The name, a subject I addressed in an earlier post, is something that I have been working on since I got my Traveller5 License from Marc. In the end I decided to go with the Family Names as my metagame bit. I did a bit of research and if no where else it turns out the State of New York has rules against using the term "Institute", such as you have to be a real life education organization, like say a school or university. And while in the metaverse the Institute does have such status, here in the very real world, I do not.

So in the end I went with Thornwood-Daarnulud, LLC.

I have of course reserved me some domain names for later use. When such domains are hosted and fleshed out with some genuine data, news and such like I will post URLs for all to see. Or at least my beloved First Fifteen, who have elected to show their public support. And in Citizen Kobold's case even posted comments.  ("...in this case, while we do not know the actual legal status of the Sophont named in this question, we assume a 'Citizenship by Shown Right by Involvement in Imperial Affairs' as in Holvid v. Imperial Census Bureau, Fifth Imperial High Courts, Vol. 6, 2d, and thus move to the main question...", Wiseman Yards Core-v12.2.3 v. Now on to a subject near and dear to our future product list, Herald Class Starships.

As I have stated elsewhere, I am putting the final touches on the HMS Herald and beginning serious work on the second of the Herald Class Starships, the M/V Lion Rampant 2. The Herald has been put in the hands of another of our editors for some last minute works ups. And since the internet loves pictures, here as usual is some teasery. In this case the Logo above (which is at this time incorrect, but hey this is draft and thus subject to change in the final product) and a bit of the Operations Deckplan.

So, things are busy here behind the screens. There are of course other things, secret things (because everybody loves secret shit, some how it seems romantic, and not at all like the bloody hard, grueling work it actually is :D) are as always afoot. Such is the life within the Imperial Court. Everyone thinks its all parties and galas at the Moot and Court. My ass, it is butt load of hustling and working in little corners. Oh yeah, loads of fun. Which in some ways it really is. Scary as all get out, but fun.

So, I must get back to the aforementioned work and leave you now.

Update: A Small Note Regarding the HERALD Variants.

Greetings all.

As usual when I am busy behind the screens, I am not so good about keeping up the posting. On the other hand lots of cool stuff gets done.

Still working on Greg P. Lee's T5 Cirque project and looking into getting myself all official and stuff. Which is going to take me offline again for a while, but I do have something for you. As part of my getting this squared away here, I got back on my artist/draftsman on the HMS Herald variants to make sure he was still up for it. Well not only is back on board, but he sent me a sample of the first bit of deckplan for the M/V Lion Rampant 2.

I thought I would share it with you all. Needless to say it is not much, I rotated it and it is a bit cropped for use on the internet so as not give it all away.

Well, I have to get back to the real world for a bit. I have to go and write up some more stuff for both the M/V Lion Rampant 2 and ISS Sable. Both a bit light compared to what I have for the Herald.

I hope you enjoyed this and once the Traveller5 Core Rules book is in my hands I suspect I will be a bit more productive.

Update: Well Damn!

So, last time we checked the Bat...ummm, the Dimensional-Temporal Scanner (or the D-TS as it is known around the shop, and only noobs forget the dash. :D), there were only 13 of you "Following" my forays into the depth of game design, playtest and old loves made new again. Now, there are two more of you.

Pull a coffee, a plate of chow and a seat, watch the space though. We don't have a BCS ship yet and you know how tight the spaces are in these ACS designs. 

So, here is what is going down. One, I am working on a Traveller5 project with Greg P. Lee of Lee's Guide to Interstellar Adventure (which I actually bought some time ago), which is his new T5 Campaign Cirque duh Sirka. I am doing some grunt work for him. It is cool to suddenly have all that hard work goofing off and dreaming start producing something. So, go check that out, or better yet open the link in a tab and keep reading this. :D

Now, as to what is going on my world. Well, I have a better and more recent draft of Adventure A: The Abonai Venture.  Redid the formatting and fonts for it. Another of the things added was the star chart for the Adventure (as seen in the previous post). While I did that I also did a serious and long check of all the borders in the Far Stars Sector, created some new ones to go with the new interstellar polities in the Free Spinward States that I created based on TL. All of course at the aforementioned TravellerMap.com Post function page. Here's the latest chart for the Far Stars circa 0190 PIY.

Those of you taking the Institute's correspondence course Astrogation 101: A Navigator's Introduction to the Far Stars Sector and the Riftborne Domains, will note the lack of the usual "Red Line" that denotes the Imperial Claims. This has been removed for clarity. And to show off the work. *shrugs* (Yeah, I am a bit vain, too bad. :p) Another reason for its deletion from this chart is an idea I am having that the Imperial Scouts Service's Department of Astrography only chart systems "actually held by an interstellar polity, not all the space it claims." I mean what's the Emperor do, get mad and complain to the Senate?

Another thing I am working on is going through all my source materials and creating a "Who is Who" directory of the Nobs, MegaCorps executives, planetary rulers, reporters, and other notables in the Far Stars Sector. I have not finished it but I will post what I have right now so you can get a handle on what is going on there. It should be noted by our old hands aboard that I posted a breakdown of the Permatic Imperium's Nobility and their Resources. That is more the "big kids table" look at the power of the Imperium to enforce its will.

(It is in-house use only right now, sadly. Once get the company up and running and at long last, real, I will try and spend some time getting the one in-house synced with this one. Or I might just wait and hand that off to which ever poor sophont volunteers some work for building the company website. Which is looking more probable.)

Another idea I had for this was a Travellers' Aid Society benefit. Like, even if you don't get into the Society itself you can make their Society Page. Like I said this is still, like most of what you are seeing here, work in progress.

Well, I am still alive and kicking, if not in the best shape.

Took some time to check out the ever awesome TravellerMap.com's Jump Map post function and generated this Jump-3 chart of the area around Abonai Belt, Colony A and Bohen.

I will try and get something more detailed and informative than this post, but right now I think this still it is pretty cool.
